Fat Phill & Mean Mully: the robot boxes

Two hi-tech, shiny silvery robots have just joined in The Trash Family!
Intended to look like the ones in retro sci-fi comic strips of the 40s, Fat Phill & Mean Mully owe their names to the vintage vacuum valves that form their 'heads' (one is Philips; the other one, UK made Mullard) -and their size: Mully is 16cm high, one centimeter more than Phill.
Because both are very similar, but not identical... they are made out of big metallic tea ball infusers, old and new screws, door knobs, rubber rings, washers of various kinds -and the gorgeous 50s vacuum valves.

By the way, never mind their names, they were reprogrammed and now they are Human-friendly, their bodies open up and they will gladly keep your small treasures inside!

And some details:

MEAN MULLY

A detail of Mean Mully's head, where it is still visible the 'Mullard' trademark and some of the numbers from the valve's code.

And to finish with, a couple of pictures of the making process: choosing the parts and polishing Fat Phill's arms
